Light Garden is an ambient, audiovisual art piece that I shot on 8mm and scored using the Roland JX-3P analog synthesizer. The film consists of slowed-down footage of common garden flowers in Los Angeles and neon lights of LA and NYC’s Chinatown districts. From Sarah Cowan, art writer, “As the piece progresses, the light surrounding each subsequent flower grows more dim, which is the only progress identifiable in a film that otherwise insists, at its bated pace, that the viewer’s focus be held on an edgeless, circular time.” Available for streaming on Eternal Family TV
